Welcome to my humble castle. I am so glad that you accepted your invitation to come. Please feel free to browse the projects that have been set out for your enjoyment. Once your journey through my castle is complete, I hope that you will leave me a comment and one lucky traveler will receive the Christmas Postcard stamp as a token of my appreciation!

When I first saw this stamp in the mini catalog, I knew that I had to have it. I could just see all the potential that it had. This first project that I would like you to see is a simple but elegant card. This card was made with Always Artichoke and Cherry Cobbler card stock. A piece of Designer paper from the Deck the Halls , Gold embossing powder and the Always Artichoke Seam Binding Ribbon.But what is that you say? You are extremely busy this time of the year. Then this next project is the one for you! With the help of My Digital Studio and the Deck the Halls download, you can create this postcard.

Now let us continue our journey through the castle and move to presentations. We all know that it is "All about the presentation". Your present is wrapped and you need a little card to go with it. Feast your eyes on these. Each card comes with its own unique envelope. Always Artichoke, Early Espresso and Cherry Cobbler card stock was used along with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder and Frost White Shimmer Paint. Gold Lame Smooch Ink accented the bells on the stamp set.

This would be ideal for those little gifts! Mini Lunch Sacks, Scallop Squares Duo, Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper, Deck the Halls Big Designer Buttons and Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon are all you need to make this.

And now for the WOW! project. Drum Roll Please...

Who wouldn't want to open this!! Early Espresso and Very Vanilla card stock, Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder, Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink, the Gold Lame Smooch Ink and the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon was used on this.

SHAVING CREAM TECHNIQUE

Here is a card that I did at a Technique Class. The Shaving Cream Technique was such a big hit. I really love how the colors mixed together and made this beautiful background paper. Can't you just see all the possibilities with this technique. I think I am going to try it out for Christmas. I got the inspiration while surfing the internet but I am sorry that I don't remember who I got it from.

Here is a Christmas card that I made using the Christmas Collage Stamp from the mini catalog. I love the simplicity of this card. I think the large button from the Deck the Halls Designer Buttons really adds to it and the Decorative Label Punch is so cool.

OK I promise this will be the last gift that I post. This gift was a Shadow Box Card. They are so pretty and I had never made one before. The thing that I love the most about these exchanges is that it gives me the opportunity to try out new things. I remember seeing a tutorial on Dawn Griffith's blog and after watching it, I knew that this is what I wanted to do. I used the Just Believe set and I really liked how it turned out.

I wanted to share another gift for the exchange that I was in. But first let me tell you a little story to see if you can relate. I bought a brayer some time ago but never got it out because I wasn't sure how to use it. So after searching many blogs, I found this wonderful card and guess what? There was a video to show me how to do it. So I would like to thank Meg Loven for her wonderful video.
This will definitely be a technique that I use at my next Technique Class. I cased the card except that I changed the color to Marina Mist, I also used the Elegant Bouquet Impressions folder.

This past month, I participated in a Holiday Gift Exchange through a group that I am in. One gift was to be personalized. So I went to one of my favorite blogs and found this on Angie Kennedy Juda's blog Chic n Scratch. What I love about this blog are the videos. I am such a visual person. Teacher Appreciation Week Thank You Card

I made another Thank You card as Domino's Pizza provided lunch for the teachers and staff. I really like how this one turned out. I hope you like it too!! This card is 8 1/2 x 11, scored at 5 1/2. I used Cottage Wall DSP along with Rich Razzelberry card stock. I got to try out my new Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die. Hey! I just wanted to say Thank You for all the wonderful comments that you left about my projects. I had so much fun working on this tour both behind the scenes and also designing my projects. I realized that I had not posted much since the last tour. You know how life seems to get in the way. It wasn't that I wasn't making anything, I would just not take a picture and post it here. Well, hopefully that has changed.

It is Teacher Appreciation Week here where I live. We had their luncheon today and it was provided by Macaroni Grill. I volunteered to make the Thank you note for all the teachers and staff to sign. I wanted to do something a little different so I decided to use two sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 card stock. Let me know what you think.

I used Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, and Sahara Sand card stock. I used some DSP from the Sweet Pea Paper Stack. Stamp sets include Vintage Vogue, Very Vintage wheel, Enjoy every moment, and Vintage Labels.

I got the idea for the layout from the Saturday Sketch Challenge 149 over at Stamping 411. This is the first challenge that I have ever participated in and I was really excited.

I would like to welcome you, the Royal Tourist, to my castle. I am so excited to be a part of this Blog Tour. I am really happy to be using the Fresh Cuts stamp set. This is the first set that I bought when I started stamping again. This stamp set coordinates with the Fresh Cuts Notes Die-Cut Cards but it is so versatile that it can be used by itself to make wonderful cards or other projects. I hope that you like what I did with it.

This first card showcases the stamp set with the die cut cards.It is such a quick and easy way to make a thank you card, thinking of you card or just about any type of card that you might need. I used Melon Mambo ink and cardstock.

This next card is probably my most favorite of all. I just love the easel cards. I used heat embossing and the spotlight technique to give this card an elegant look. I think Rich Razzleberry and Basic Black card stock go so well with each other. I used the Scallop Trim Corner Punch along with the Scallop Trim Border Punch for accents.

Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo card stock, along with Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper were used on this next project. I don't know about you, but I always need a scratch pad on my desk. Wouldn't this be a wonderful gift for someone. Each time that they use it, they will know that you are thinking of them.

I really had fun making this 3x3 note card box and the thank you cards that go with it. I really love how the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper coordinates with this stamp set. I took the Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Orchid Opulence colors from the Designer Paper and made the 3x3 thank you cards. I used the reverse masking technique and I also used the color spritzer for an added touch.

ROYAL BLOG TOUR

I am so excited to be showcasing the stamp set Asian Artistry on this tour. This stamp set is a Level 2 hostess set and can be found in the new Stampin' UP! Idea Book and Catalog 2009-2010.I just love this set and I know that you will just love it too! It has such a peaceful and serene feel to it. The samples made with this set include the use of the new In Colors along with some old favorites.

This first card could be used for any occasion. I used Bermuda Bay, Green Galore and Whisper White cardstock. Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry Markers (yes, that is right. Stampin' UP now has markers for their In Colors), and Green Galore classic ink. This card also features the new Crushed Curry Polka-Dot Ribbon (this ribbon has polka dots on one side and is plain on the other. It is like having two different ribbon choices). The technique used is Faux Silk.

This next card uses Taken with Teal and Whisper White cardstock. Inks used were Taken with Teal, Basic Gray, and Basic Black. I used the scallop punch, Basic Black 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon and a Filigree Designer Brad. Don't you just love the brad? It really adds a special touch to the card. The technique used is called Depth of Field.

This next card can also be used for all occasions. I used Dusty Durango and Very Vanilla cardstock. Soft Suede, Dusty Durango and Bermuda Bay Markers were used to color the stamps. Once again, I used the new Polka Dot ribbon but this time I used it in Soft Suede. I used a Silver Jumbo Grommet to accent the ribbon.I can tell that Soft Suede is going to be a favorite color of mine and will get used often!
Remember at the beginning when I said that you would love this set? Here is another reason for you. Not only can you use this set for cards, you can also use this set for a present too. Who wouldn't love to have a set of these?

These tile coasters definitely have the WOW factor. Each coaster features a different stamp from this set. Just imagine wrapping some of that gorgeous ribbon around them and giving them as a hostess gift or a birthday gift. The list can go on and on.

NEW CATALOG PARTY

Hey,
I had a new catalog party last night for my customers. We had a great time. Everyone loved the new catalog. Here are a couple of the projects that we made.
This first card is a direct case from one of our own Blog Queens, Patty Bennett
I love the new Medallion stamp.

We also made a corner bookmark using Melon Mambo ink, cardstock and ribbon. We used the Circle Circus stamp set. There are so many examples of this out there but I followed the directions from Barb Mullikin.

MORE SPRING FLING PROJECTS THAT I MADE

I would like to show you some more of the projects that I made. I made a technique card using the FAUX SILK technique. I had so much fun doing this. I used Embrace Life and Sense of Time stamp sets.

This next project was to make a holder and then to make cards to go in it. I learned how to do this at a retreat that I went to earlier in the year. I used the stamp set Friends 24-7. I just love this set. Don't you?

SPRING FLING PROJECTS THAT I MADE

Hey,
I showed you projects last week from my Spring Fling partner, Karen. Now, I would like to share some of the projects that I made for her.
This first one is the hostess gift. I used rub on's to decorate the glass container. I had never used rub ons before and I really liked the look. Plus, they are so easy to use. They came out of the Occasions Mini catalog.
The next projects are the two 6x6 scrapbook pages. I had Karen's daughter in mind when I made these. I used Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip, and Candy Lane DSP. I used flowers and the pearls from the Pretties Kit and colored the edges with Pink Pirouette.The stamp set is Always

Hey,
I wanted to share some more of the goodies that I got from my friend, Karen. Just look at these goodies.
The first one is a 3x3 card holder and 4 3x3 cards to go with it. I just love the Kiwi Kiss and Raspberry Tart DSP. I sure am going to miss them when they retire.
Next is a post it note holder. I love the Good Morning Sunshine DSP. I had wanted to get some and waited till last month to order mine. I sure am going to miss this one too.
The next card is a Technique Card featuring the Cracked Glass Technique. I had always wanted to learn how to do this. Karen was so sweet to include the directions. I can't wait to make one myself.

Hey,
Today's post is going to be different from what I usually do. Today, I want to tell you about a group that I am in and share some things that I have gotten. I belong to a group called SUDEMOONLY.
This is a community of Stampin' Up! demonstrators in both the US and Canada who enjoy the opportunity to brighten another demo's day! They had an activity that you could participate in called Spring Fling. You were matched up with another demo and then you had two assignments per week for a month to complete. When the month was over, you mailed everything to your partner. Well, I got to know the sweetest demo from California. Her name is Karen Christensen. Here are some of the projects that she made and sent to me.

The first two are of a gift card holder. Karen used Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink and Tea Party DSP. She also used the Great Friend stamp set. Even though we just met, we share a love of coffee and she surprised me with a Starbucks gift card. How cool is that!
The next project is a refrigerator magnet could be used as a hostess gift. Karen used Sweet Always DSP and images from Goody-Goody Gumdrops. The next assignment was to alter something. Karen made me the cutest keychain out of a dominoe. I love the color and the bling. After I took the picture, I immediately put it on my keyring. And the last project I am going to show you are two 6x6 scrapbook pages. She knows I love the beach and these will look great in my "Beach Scrapbook".

Where have I been?

Hey,

Just wanted to let everyone know that I am back. I took a long vacation at the beach when school was out and then came home to get my wisdom teeth out. Thanks for all the concerns for my whereabouts.

I have a new card that I would like to share with you. I am in a monthly card swap and this month I did a baby card. Now let me give you the head's up because this is not your traditional baby card. I love the Cheep Talk stamp set and I wanted to use it. I hope you like it.

Paper: Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, Very Vanilla, So Saffron DSP.

Ink: Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, Kiwi Kiss.

Accessories: Circle Scissor, So Saffron 7/8" Polytwill Ribbon, Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Crystal Effects, YoYo Yellow Reinker.

My Circle Scissor just came in and I couldn't wait to play with it. It is great! I had so much fun. I know that I will definitely be using this alot.

Father's Day Card Swap

Hey,

Just wanted to share with you a card that I made for a monthly card swap that I am in. It is a Father's Day card using the And Many Mower stamp set. I used Going Gray, Brocade Blue, and Very Vanilla cardstock. I also used the Patterns Pack II (hostess) DSP. I had fun using the Blender pen to color the golfer. The sentiment Happy Father's Day is stamped on the inside.

MOTHER'S DAY CARD

I just wanted to say thank you for all the compliments on the MONOGRAM PURSE with note cards. So instead of posting anymore Teacher Appreciation Gifts, I have decided to give the details on how to make this. Like I said before, I learned to do this at a retreat so I do not know who to give credit to.

Purse supplies: Cover weight DSP 8x11, Coordinating strip 8x2, Chocolate Chip tope note die cut, 9" Baja Blue 1" grosgrain ribbon, Velcro dot, Designer label Hodgepodge Hardware, Very Vanilla 1 1/2 x 2", Chocolate Chip 3 1/2 x 2", circle brad, 2 large 6 x 8 cello, RSVP pen, 5 1/2" x 1/2" Baja Blue for pen holder, DSP for pen insert

Note card supplies: Kraft, Baja Blue, Chocolate Chip each 5 1/2 x 4 1/4", and 2 x 2", Very Vanilla - 3 each 5 1/4 x 4" and 2 3/4 x 1 3/4", DSP - 3 pieces 4 x 3/4"

Punches: scallop square, designer label, 1 1/4" circle, 1/4" circle, 1 1/4" square

Ink: Chocolate Chip

Stamp Set: Lovely Letters

Score 8x11" cardstock at 5 1/8" from each end. This will leave 3/4" between the score lines for the bottom of the purse.

To make the side angles: turn the cardstock vertical. Make a pencil mark 3/4" in from each corner (top and bottom). Cut from the pencil mark to the score line. Repeat for the other 3 sides.

Score and fold the Top Note horizontal across the middle. Using the 1/4" punch, make a hole just next to the fold on each end. Apply the Faux Leather (directions below). Thread the ribbon through the holes, adhere as flat as possible. Attach to the top back of the purse, with the holes on the back.

Attach Velcro dot under the top note and on the purse front for closure. Add circle brad on the top note as a "faux clasp".

INSIDE:

Attach the 5 1/2" and 1/2" strip across the fold, bending at 2, 2 1/2, 3, 3 1/2" to form a space for the pen. Cut the cello bags to 4 3/4 x 6". Adhere to each side using sticky strip. This will cover the ends of the strip. The note cards should slide into the cello bags from the top of the purse.

FAUX LEATHER TECHNIQUE:

* Cover the entire top note with Versamark

* Coat with clear embossing powder

* Using the bone folder, draw lines in both directions. This will remove some of the embossing powder

* Heat embossing powder until it turns glossy.

Hey,

So after I finished up the purses last night, I started working on another Thank you card for the teachers to sign. Dominoes is catering their lunch today so this is a great way to express our gratitude for that. The school colors are yellow and black so I used So Saffron and Basic Black cardstock. The card is actually four cards put together to look like a book. I cut the 8 1/2 x 11 card in half and scored at 1". As I was trying to come up with ideas, I looked at a card that I had gotten from Suzanne Rhyne. She and I are in a group called SUDEMOONLY. She sent me a card for the April CCS and it was so pretty that I cased it. So thank you Suzanne. Then I went to all the blogs in my Bloggin Stars group. I am so glad that I did because I got ideas from a couple of them.

used a retired set in her last post which got me to thinking about the set Inspired by Nature.

Hey,

I went to a retreat a couple of weekends ago and we made the cutest stationary purse. I thought that would be a great gift for my son's teachers. Each purse is monogrammed and contains 6 note cards with envelopes. I used Parisian Breeze DSP, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla cardstock. Lovely Letters stamp set was used for the monogram. The Faux Leather technique was used on the top note die.

Sorry it has been a while since I posted. I actually went to the beach this weekend so stay tuned for something exciting to come from that. I hope to have it posted this week. There is so much going on to tell you about. First, I now belong to a group called the Bloggin Stars Group #2. This is a group that was formed from the LateNightStampers group. We are committed to supporting each other and our blogs. Just click on their name and it will take you directly to their blog. The next thing that I wanted to share with you is it is Teacher Appreciation Week at our school. Macaroni Grill catered the teacher luncheon today and I volunteered to make the thank you card that will be given to them

I got the inspiration for this card from MeGa Stampin Studio.

My card measures 6x3. I used Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, So Saffron, and Certainly Celery paper along with Delicate Dots DSP from Sale-A-Bration. Stamps include Punches Three, A Little Somethin', One of a Kind, Matchbook Messages (out of the Occasions Mini), Pocket Silhouettes, and Upsy Daisy.

I also fixed the link to the tutorial on my earlier post. Thanks for letting me know that it didn't work.

Hey and welcome back. Today I wanted to share with you a card front that I made for a technique swap on SCS that I recently participated in. This technique is called Blurred Vision Watercoloring. I followed the directions that Beate Johns had written in this tutorial

I used Pacific Point and Regal Rose cardstock. The stamp sets used were Fifth Avenue Floral and Embrace Life.

I really enjoyed this technique and want to try it again.

If you will look over to your right, you will find a card using the cupcake stamp. This card features Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Cameo Coral, and Whisper White cardstock. The Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper that can be found in the Occasions mini catalog was accented by the Eyelet Border Punch.

Now if you will look to your left, there appears to be a cute little hinge card. This card features the flower in

a pot. So Saffron, Taken with Teal and Tangerine Tango

cardstock were used to make this card. If you look closely, you can see the Bella Rose DSP for the flower pot.

Down below on your right, you will find the heart and wagon stamps. I just love the saying that is in this set too. "Friendship is a work of heart". This card features Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette cardstock and Candy Lane DSP.

And now the last site to visit at this stop is a 6x6 scrapbook page

featuring the duck and Easter Egg stamp. With May being National Scrapbook Month, this would be great to use with those darling Easter pictures that were taken. Perfect Plum, So Saffron, Kiwi Kiss, and Tangerine Tango cardstock along with Perfect Plum and So Saffron DSP were used. Kiwi Kiss 5/8" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon really highlights the Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware.

Here are a few more of the cards that I made for the card swaps that I have been participating in lately.

The first one is one that I did using the new 3D Pop Up Cake Die. I really love this card. I used the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set. The base of the card is Chocolate Chip with a layer of Textured Pink Pirouette and Very Vanilla. The ink is Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette. I used Pink Pirouette 5/8" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon to tie the balloons. When you open

this card, a wonderful surprise is in store for you. I used the Candy Lane DSP and Riding Hood Red cardstock for the cake. The flowers that decorate the 2nd layers were from the Trio Flower Punch and Very Vanilla cardstock. I also used a Silver Brad for the center of each flower.

This next card was for a Mother's Day swap. I used the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set. I think this is my favorite set right now. I used Perfect

Plum, Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss and

Whisper White cardstock. Kiwi Kiss ink was used on the flowers and Kiwi Kiss 5/8" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon was also used. (If you haven't figured out by now, Kiwi Kiss is probably my favorite color and I am going to miss it when it retires). On the inside of the card, I stamped Happy Mother's Day from the All Holidays set on Whisper White cardstock using Kiwi Kiss ink.

I hope you enjoyed this cards as much as I enjoyed making them.
